Run a First-Pass Edit with Imagen AI

1. Sign up on Imagen AI's site and download its Lightroom Classic plugin.
2. Install it and sign in from inside Lightroom Classic. Look for a new panel or menu entry labeled something close to "Imagen" once installation finishes, since the exact wording can shift between releases.
3. Confirm the plugin can see your Lightroom catalog before moving on.

What you should see: A new panel inside Lightroom Classic where you can select photos and send them to Imagen AI. Troubleshooting: If the plugin does not appear after installation, restart Lightroom Classic completely rather than just closing the panel, since plugin installs often need a full relaunch to register.

This is the step that makes the tool useful specifically to you rather than a generic preset pack.

1. Choose a batch of 200 to 500 photos you have already fully edited, all from a similar shoot type and lighting style.
2. Feed that finished catalog into Imagen AI's profile training feature.
3. Give the profile a name you will recognize later, such as "Wedding: outdoor golden hour" or "Studio portrait: natural light."
4. Let training run. This step processes in the background and does not need you watching it the whole time.

What you should see: A new named profile appears in your Imagen AI account once training completes, ready to apply to future shoots. Troubleshooting: If the resulting edits do not look like your own work, your training set may have been too mixed (different lighting conditions or subjects lumped together). Retrain with a more consistent batch.

1. Open the shoot in Lightroom Classic after culling (see the Aftershoot guide if you have not culled it yet).
2. Select the culled images and send them to Imagen AI.
3. Choose the profile that matches this shoot's style.
4. Start the batch edit.

What you should see: Imagen AI's site or plugin reports progress as it works through the batch. At roughly half a second per photo, a set of 500 images finishes well under 10 minutes. Troubleshooting: If the batch stalls partway, check your internet connection, since the editing itself runs on Imagen's servers rather than locally.

The AI's first pass is a draft, not a delivery. Treat it that way every time.

1. Scroll through the edited batch at normal viewing speed, not a quick skim.
2. Flag anything with an obviously wrong exposure, skin tone or crop.
3. Compare a handful of images side by side against your own recent hand-edited work to confirm the style still matches what your clients expect from you.
4. Hand-finish the 20 to 30 hero images going into the album, print order or featured gallery spots.

What you should see: A batch that reads as your work at a glance, with only the true standout images needing extra manual attention. Troubleshooting: If you are correcting the same issue across many photos in a batch (skin tones running warm, shadows too dark), retrain or adjust the profile rather than fixing each photo by hand every time.

1. Export the approved batch from Lightroom Classic as you normally would.
2. Send it into your gallery delivery platform or client review process.
3. Keep a record of which profile you used for that shoot, in case you want to refine it later.

What you should see: A finished gallery ready to send, produced in a fraction of the manual editing time. Troubleshooting: If a client's feedback points to a consistent problem with the AI-edited images, adjust your review step to check for that specific issue on every future batch before it slips through.
